Wampanoag Outreach Opportunities for MMHS Students

In partnership with the Wampanoag Tribe's Education Department, we are excited to share the following opportunity for MMHS students: Dual Enrollment Students - Cape Cod Community College will be offering a free and HYflex Spring semester course titled An Introduction to Indigenous Education. This course will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 AM-12:15 PM. While Indigenous students are encouraged to apply, this opportunity is being offered to all MMHS dual enrollment students.

We are excited to offer this amazing opportunity to our students and we hope you consider participating!

Indian ED Pizza Meet & Greet

Grab a slice and join the fun!

Mashpee Indian Education is hosting a Pizza Meet & Greet on Wednesday, November 12 from 5:30-7:30PM in the Mashpee Middle High School Wampanoag Room (E101). Come meet the Indian Education staff, connect with other families, and share ideas for activities and ways to strengthen Indian Education at MPS. All tribal students and families are welcome! Don't miss this chance to enjoy great company, great conversation--and of course, great pizza!

Attend School Tomorrow

Please send students to school on Monday unless they show visible symptoms of illness. Even though Tuesday is a holiday, Monday is still an important instructional day, and students will have the following day off to rest.

Community Resources to Help Our Families 

We're excited to share a helpful resource guide from Barnstable County that connects families with nutritious food options throughout our community. Whether you're looking for fresh produce programs, meal sites, or pantry services, this guide brings together all the wonderful food resources available right here on the Cape.

Winter Coat Giveaway

On November 15th, from 12:00pm-5:00pm, visit the Hyannis Youth & Community Center for the Winter Coat Giveaway. This is a first come, first serve event and is intended for children from 2yr- 18yr old.

Swing into Reading at the Coombs School Book Fair

The Coombs PTO Scholastic Book Fair is coming to town -- and we are going out on a limb for great books! From November 5-14, students will explore a forest of fantastic stories and can shop during their library specials.

Special Events:

Books & Bites -- Saturday, November 8 / 9AM-12PM

Book Bingo Night -- Wednesday, November 12 / 6-7:30PM 

Come discover new adventures, make memories, and help our PTO grow support for the Coombs School.

What's Cooking in the Cafeteria

Mashpee Public Schools would like to remind families that all students have the option to enjoy breakfast and lunch at school each day at no cost. While SNAP benefits may be impacted by the federal government shutdown, school meals are not affected--students can continue to access healthy, nutritious meals at no charge.

No Place for Hate

We're proud to share that Quashnet is entering its third year as a No Place for Hate School, recognized by the Anti-Defamation League! This year's theme is Trust and Collaboration, and we're excited about the powerful activities our students will experience together.

Quashnet PTO News

The book fair was a success! Thank you to the families for supporting our school and to the students who were such a pleasure while they shopped. A huge thank you to all the volunteers and staff that made it a success! Our next PTO meeting will be on Thursday November 13, at 6pm in the Quashnet library. We will be discussing the book fair and future fundraisers. Join us and share your amazing ideas on how to best support Quashnet students.

Mashpee Boosters Presents: The Tracy Merkman Holiday Craft Fair

On November 8th, from 9:00pm-3:00pm, Get into the Holiday spirit and find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list at our Holiday Craft Fair. This even is located at the Mashpee Middle High School and there is a $3 entry fee that is cash only. All proceeds will support the Mashpee Boosters after prom event!

Please Note that there is a Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) Meeting on November 4th, from 6:30pm-7:30pm.

Coming Soon: "31 Days of Giving" November Fundraiser

We're thrilled to introduce our November fundraiser—a fun, digital twist on the classic "pick-a-date" calendar!

How it works:

  • Friends and family choose a date (or multiple dates) on the calendar
  • Each date corresponds to a dollar amount they'd like to donate
  • Once they donate, their name appears on that date
  • It's that simple—no selling, no door-to-door, no hassle!

With 31 giving opportunities throughout November's 30 days, this innovative fundraiser makes it easy for everyone to support our students. Full details and your family's unique calendar link coming soon!

Paper flyers will be going home with students in the couple weeks with individualized QR codes for every students!
